Hey there, I use DM 4 for my D&D game that I run a few times a week. We arnt huge fans of v4 D&D so we stick to v3.5, Barn Cat Software advertises DM 5 as a tool for running a v4 D&D game, does DM 5 only have all the info for 4th edition, and would it be recommended to stick with DM 4 or if possible transfer the DM 4 files over to DM 5 so as to have 3.5 stuff aswell.

There should be no problems as DM Secretary will run both versions.
After all, it was originaly designed for 3.5 and the new features should not take anything away.
If you want the documentation that goes with that version, go to
Barn Cat Software
and using the side menu 'DM Secretary: playing games', look for the legacy version.
and download and install that old version, then back up all documentation to the fresh installation of DM Sec 5.
All that documentation is not quite pertinent for version 4 of D&D so it was not included in the DM Sec 5 version.
Remember, it's all about having fun.
